This marimba solo is great for teaching hand independence for intermediate players since both hands are playing eighth notes during most of the piece. The piece itself is relatively easy but the challenge comes when working the piece up to tempo while maintaining accuracy of the four mallets. This piece can also be used as a marimba duet for beginner players who cannot play four mallets yet.
