Composed by Anonymous. Arranged by Homco/Crinion. This edition: pdf. Christian, Early Music, March, Praise & Worship, Sacred. 7 pages. Homco/Crinion #1048496. Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1470873).This is a Christian hymn most commonly called "Fairest Lord Jesus," but it has also been identified as "Beautiful Savior" and "Crusader's Hymn." Its origin is uncertain, but it is said to have come from a 1662 Jesuit manuscript and it appeared in a Roman Catholic hymnbook in 1677. The tune has also been attributed to a Silesian folk song and the melody can be heard as "The Crusader's March" in an oratiorio by Franz Liszt. This trio arrangement is a simple and straightforward setting of the hymn. Both of the violins get a chance to voice the melody.
