Fair to Middlin' as applied to ones mood describes a condition of being so-so. If someone says they're fair to middling then they mean they've been worse, they've been better. I'm using it to describe a middle mood of being happy enough but nothing to shout about. As this would describe a lot of people's mood a lot of the time it must be worth writing a tune about! So here it is....
For the left hand some pianists may find their hands a little small for the 10th intervals but they can easily be rolled or replaced with an octave or even a single bass note.
I have taken it through the 3 keys of D, Eb and E major.
I don't include fingerings, pedal marks or dynamics and prefer to leave these to the discretion of the individual pianist. I'm quite easy going about such issues and prefer to keep the notation less cluttered and easier to read. Play it as you feel it.
I do include chord symbols as I always find these useful for learning and remembering tunes.
I hope you enjoy learning this as much as I did writing it.
