Composed by Jack Trombey. Arranged by Paul Kajzar. This edition: pdf. 20th Century, Film/TV. 17 pages. Paul Kajzar, Gyllcott Music #1406051. Published by Paul Kajzar, Gyllcott Music (A0.1846469).EYE LEVEL arranged for WIND SEXTET - This tune became well known in the 1970s due to its association with the British produced TV crime drama "Van der Valk". It was composed by Jack Trombey (one of the pseudonyms that Dutch composer and conductor Jan Stoeckart worked under) for the De Wolfe Music Library with the title "Amsterdam". Having been selected by Thames Television as the theme tune to "Van der Valk" its title was changed to "Eye Level" to reflect the flat horizon and landscape of the Netherlands where the TV series was set. The piece was (and still is) popular with audiences and the recording by the Simon Park Orchestra achieved the number 1 position in the UK singles chart for several weeks in 1973. This arrangement is for wind sextet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and 2 horns). The set includes full score and parts. Difficulty level : Intermediate/Advanced.
