I really like this book. It has tons of challenging pieces to play but also a few simple ones to get you going. There are also several melodic exercises in the front which come in very handy.However, I wish the book came with a CD for at least the melodic exercises because I've just graduated from high school and still have some rhythms that are tricky for me to play, and without a CD it's really hard for me to know if I'm playing it right because I don't have a teacher to ask for help anymore.Other than that it's a great book and I would recommend it for upper level high school jazz bands or people who just like to play on their own.
