This series is designed to develop healthy, natural, and effective technique. Each book is divided into units, and each unit focuses on one technical concept utilizing imagery to help students understand the gesture needed to produce the correct technique. Students get the opportunity to play the technique using two short technical exercises followed by several etudes to reinforce each concept. This approach allows students to concentrate on one technique at a time, promoting mastery of specific techniques and helping students make these technical skills a habit in their playing. Contains information about each etude and the composers.
About The Festival Collection
The Festival Collection is an eight-volume series consisting of exceptional repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Twentieth/Twenty-First Centuries. This series is carefully leveled from elementary through advanced repertoire, with each level covering the gamut of your repertoire needs. The Festival Collection is a companion series to the Succeeding with the Masters series, expanding upon the repertoire selections with no duplication of repertoire between the two series. Each book includes a CD recording of all the corresponding works to guide students in their interpretation.
The Festival Collection will provide teachers and students with a wide range of works that are carefully chosen for their pedagogical merit. They will be a key component for your students' success in their studies of the works by the masters!

As I began the third book of the Alfred Adult All-In-One series, my musicality was decent but it lacked that something special. I started taking lessons from an instructor who knows how to teach musicality - the technique of making a piece of music into a beautiful piece of art. After completing this book and moving on with the series, I've found the Etudes with Techniques books wonderful for teaching musicality and my enjoyment of piano playing's increased substantially. I especially delight in the wonderful selection of pieces from Bartok, Burgmuller, Czerny and so many great composers!
