A handsome FIRST EDITION of one of Debussy's Etudes of 1915 that was never included in the published collections. The etude was reconstructed from the manuscript by Roy Howat. The original manuscript is included in this edition. This "rediscovered" Etude is titled in manuscript, “Pour les arpèges composés,” but except for the presence of arpeggios and the Ab-major tonality, it bears little resemblance to the previously published etude of the same name. Etude Retrouvee by Debussy
Wonderful book, very good manufacture and print, inside both a copy of the original Debussy's manuscript and the printed version. Piece's style is in my opinion one the most interesting from Debussy, high technique but also hypnotic sound and almost modern sonorities. Excellent!
