I'm pleased to introduce a first series of nine original studies for solo guitar, suited for intermediate to advanced players. One essential goal in this cycle is to achieve a synthesis of elementary didactic ideas developped by guitar masters throughout history as well as Sor, Giuliani, Carulli, Mertz, Coste, Sagreras, Pujol, Carlevaro, Brouwer, not to mention the very innovative Villa-Lobos. Composed in Rouen, Paris & Yvetot (France) between May 2019 and May 2020. Étude 8 : "Des pas sur l'eau. Pour les accords répétés." won Third Prize at International Composition Contest "Drôme de Guitares" (Valence, France) in 2019.
