Eternal Brightness is a set of three choral works which revisit 'old favorites' in the hymn repertoire... Sweet Accord presents the Isaac Watts text in a rousing Colonial New England style of angular melody and four-square rhythm. The second movement employs both the familiar words and melody (Southwell). The setting is a cappella in the spirit of gentle and reflective expression. The Beauty of the Earth is celebratory.

Great, but don't be surprised
This is an SATB piece, but most parts split at some point, so beware of that. I probably would not have ordered this piece if I had known that, but it has turned out to be such a wonderful song. The piece is long and not as overwhelming as it looks. Beautiful harmonies and great opportunity to sing musically. Tenor part high for untrained tenor voices. Some great moving lines. My auditioned group of high school students LOVE this piece. It is their favorite this spring. Melody is not always in the soprano part. Intonation is key on this piece.
