Born in 1956 in Bordeaux, Franck Besingrand studied at the National Conservatoire of the Toulouse Region. His musical education was crowned by many adwards, notably the Prize for Composition.As an organist he has won many prizes in international competitions (Manchester, Paris: the UFAM Prix Honneur). He studied at advanced level with great musiciens in both France and Canada including Jean Guillou, Francis Chapelet, and Henk Bouman.Franck Besingrand is a qualified teacher of music for the blind and partially sighted and holds a state diploma in early musical instruments. He teaches at the Institut des Jeunes Aveugles de Toulouse and at the National Music School of the Tarn Region. Currently teaching organ at the Rodez Conservatoire, he is also persuing a career as an organist and composer.Several of his sketches for organ were selected at the Martigues Composition Competition (2005). His Eclairs d'aube was published by Editions Combre in 1995.He has recorder 5 CDs including Splendeur de l'orgue en fête au XVllle siècle, which was unanimously well received by the music press.
