Cowell, a preeminent pianist and composer as well as a pioneering music executive as co-founder of Strata-East Records, had this song covered by Jack DeJohnette, the Heath Brothers, Ray Drummond. Dedicated to the arranger's musical mentor Tito Carrillo, this arrangement features woodwind doubles for alto (flutes) tenor (clarinet) and baritone saxes (bass clarinet), with solo space for flugelhorn in trumpet 3. Highest trumpet range is C#6 in concert pitch.
