Composed by Lynn L. Petersen. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. 42 pages. Lynn L. Petersen #5889581. Published by Lynn L. Petersen (A0.973241).Episodes (1987) is a four-movement work for English horn and organ, composed for a graduate organ recital at the University of Minnesota, and inspired by Jan Koetsier’s Partita for English horn and organ. The organist requested that it be based loosely on the chorale melody "Was Gott tut" by Severus Gastorius (1646-1682). In the first three movements the organ part is for manuals alone, and pedal is added in the last movement. Alternate parts are included for E-flat Alto Saxophone and B-Flat Clarinet.
