In video games, a boss battle is when you reach the end of a level and fight the bad guy. The final boss is the main opponent of the game, and it is for this fight that the music of Epic Boss Battle is written. For this imaginary game, the music starts sounding dangerous and foreboding, with percussion playing on the shell of the drum and solemn chords in the brass and winds. The music then moves into a more heroic theme, developing and building in intensity. About half way through a new theme comes in, promising hope if you—the hero—prevails. The ending is triumphant, and we can rest assured that the world has been saved.
