"Enjoy the Silence" is a song by English band Depeche Mode. Recorded in 1989, it was released as the second single from their seventh studio album, Violator, in February 1990. The song was written by Martin Gore and was the band's highest charting single in the US, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. It was certified Gold in the US and Germany, and won Best British Single at the Brit Awards 1991. The music video for the song was directed by Anton Corbijn and references the story of 'The Little Prince'; in the video, lead singer Dave Gahan appears, dressed as a king, wandering through the countryside with a deck chair. This arrangement for concert band features an opportunity for an extended drum solo and has been created to bring more music by British artists into the repertoire as part of #ArrangeMeGoals2025.
