This is a potentially audience participation piece if you have a small, intimate audience. Explain that you're going to teach them to count (to three)in German. Do so. And then tell them that they can use their newly-developed skill to join you.
Have the first trumpet play the first two measures. Every time the audience hears that melody, the next thing that happens is that they shout "Eins, Zwei, Drei" in rhythm - wait a measure, do it again, wait another measure, and do it a third time.
You get the idea. Of course, it can be simply done with just the quintet members shouting - or just play the ink.
