The key to this piece is to keep the melody flowing, and this is done by slightly overlapping the trumpets. Balance was the other crucial factor, as in any organ derived work. There's so much going on in this work, perhaps Bach's best. The melody, the pastoral counterlines, the regal chordal line that rises and then disappears. We believe you will enjoy this arrangement keeping true to Bach's rendition.
