Excellent Repertoire for Intermediate Bands
Michael Sweeney's 'Earthdance' is a fantastic Grade 3 piece. The score is clearly laid out, making it easy to teach and follow. It offers wonderful opportunities to discuss musical textures, like the simulated rainstorm, and diverse rhythms with the 'world drumming' sections. This piece will definitely engage students and help develop their ensemble playing and expressive skills. Highly recommended for school bands!

A Truly Engaging Musical Journey!
What a treat 'Earthdance' is! As a hobbyist band member, I love exploring scores, and this Grade 3 piece is so engaging. Michael Sweeney really transports you with the rainstorm and world drumming sections, building to that joyful finish. It's challenging enough to feel rewarding, but totally achievable for our community band to sound great. Pure enjoyment!
