My one of the best teacher and friend Roger Bobo asked me to write a piece for the same instrumentation as John Steven's Liberation of Sisyphus for his own tuba ensemble STUBA.
The first thing, when I am think about a tuba ensemble, is, sounds like the Earth begin to move.
The dream was, to write a piece for tubas, that talks about something actual, important and sadly true and that speaks not only for the tuba and brass players, but the common men too.
