On September 9, 2025, Johnson Gao composed a song with a peculiar time signature of 3/8 and 4/8, and circularly repeating them. It is my honor to have composed a song for a poem, which is referred to by some people as the pinnacle of the 7X8-character Chinese poem 律詩.

杜甫 (公元 712–770)
風急天高猿嘯哀，渚清沙白鳥飛回。
無邊落木蕭蕭下，不盡長江滾滾來。
萬里悲秋常作客，百年多病獨登臺。
艱難苦恨繁霜鬢，潦倒新停濁酒杯。

Climbing the Heights Du Fu (AD 712–770)
The wind is gusting, the sky is high, and the monkeys howl mournfully.
The mounds are bare, the sands are white, and the birds are flying back.
Boundless leaves are falling with a rustling sound.
The Yangtze River is rolling its uncountable waves on.

During thousands of miles traveling, I am often a guest in the sorrowful autumn.
Suffering from illness for decades, I am ascending to the plate form lonely.
The hardships and bitterness induced more frostiness in my two temples.
The poverty-stricken life forced me to quit drinking from a muddy cup.

狂風呼嘯，蒼穹高聳，群猴哀嚎。
丘壑荒蕪，沙土潔白，群鳥歸翔。
漫山遍野的落葉，沙沙作響。
長江滾滾，波濤洶湧。

千里迢迢的旅行，我常常是憂愁秋日的客。
數十年病痛，我孤獨地登上高臺。
艱辛酸楚，煩得我兩鬢如若冰霜。
清貧的生活使我不得不戒飲濁酒。
