By Wendy Hellmann. Composed by Edouard Nanny. Arranged by Wendy Hellmann. This edition: audio, streaming. Classical, Romantic Period. Accompaniment. Duration 365. Wendy Hellmann #1414234. Published by Wendy Hellmann (A0.1854598).
This is the piano accompaniment track for the first movement of the “Dragonetti” Double Bass Concerto in orchestral tuning (G Major). Initially published under the name Domenico Dragonetti, it is now thought to be an original composition by the editor, Édouard Nanny. The piano track starts at around quarter note = 90, but is flexible to allow for soloistic moments in the double bass line. There is no accelerando in the opening bass bars to maintain a steady tempo, but the ending harmonic section starting at measure 108 does slow down before picking back up at 116. This is a great first concerto for serious students, especially those who are planning to audition for music schools. Performed by Wendy Hellmann.
