Great Support for Vocalists in Blues/Jazz
This Dr. John anthology provides excellent material for vocalists venturing into the blues and jazz genres. The piano accompaniment, while comprehensive, wisely supports the vocal line without overpowering it, often mirroring the melody for ease of learning. So Much Fun to Play Dr. John!
I absolutely love this Dr. John anthology! As an adult learner, I was so excited to get my hands on these 17 classic songs from the legendary New Orleans artist. The arrangements are really satisfying to play on the piano, and I feel like I'm finally capturing that authentic bluesy feel. It's a wonderful way to relax and enjoy playing my favorite tunes. Highly recommend for fellow hobbyists!

I guess it's ok (the chords, melody and words are there), but I was looking for what he played, not just a run-of-the-mill version of the songs.
