A Moving and Achievable Piece to Play!
As a community band member, I truly enjoyed playing Michael Sweeney's arrangement of 'Down to the River.' The folk tune's emotional core, with its blend of sadness and hope, is really beautiful. Being a Level 1.5 piece, it's very approachable for a weekend player and makes for a rewarding experience. It sounds wonderful when played by the full ensemble, offering great satisfaction.
