This dobrado (march style to be presented in concert format) is a tribute to Maestro Clayton Ambre Guimarães, a distinguished clarinet player and conductor of the Sociedade Musical Fraternidade Cordeirense, a unique figure who dedicates his life to Music and the band. This piece was composed for a brass quintet and is challenging because it brings the elements of a complete band distributed among the five instruments. Inspired by the dobrados played by the civil bands in the interior of the State of Rio de Janeiro, it is a great opportunity to expand the repertoire of your quintet with Brazilian authorial music written for this flexible formation of brasses.
