Another very popular choice for events, is the Divertimento in F, K.138. One of three Divertimenti originally composed for string quartet (or string orchestra) by W.A. Mozart in Salzburg in winter 1772 and intended for the musical entertainment at the countless soirees that Mozart was a guest of and performed at, these three Divertimenti have stood the test of time and are still a popular choice at events and soirees today.
This is an arrangement of the Divertimento in F, K. 138 for String Trio: complete and unsimplified. The viola part is now quite a bit more busy as it's now also playing the gorgeous semiquaver obbligato in the 2nd movement, as well as additional semiquaver bits in the other movements, all usually played by the 2nd violin. In all parts, there is a bare minimum of double stops, only for effect when the harmony really needs it, and they all lie very well, often with one of the notes as an open string.
