Dr, Grant Beglarian (1927-2002) was born in Georgia, Russia and studied viola and composition in the Royal Conservatory of Music in Tehran, Iran before moving to the United States in 1947. This work for soli Viola, Cello, and Orchestra is based on his 1955 “Violin Duets.” Movements: 1. March; 2. A Sad Song; 3. A Merry Song; 4. Canonic Dialogue; 5. Fantasy; 6. Minuet; 7. Gigue; 8.
