A Little Masterpiece
This is a little masterpiece. There is nothing that I could wish the composer had done differently. I sang it in my junior year with my high school choir. I graduated in 1962. I have never forgotten this composition, and I have taught and conducted it with at least two of my high school choirs over the years, and at the moment I am teaching it to my church choir for the second time. The lyric and music are thoughtfully and beautifully wedded together into a genuine classic. The piece is not exceptionally difficult, but pure vowels and intonation are a must as well as skilled interpretation and conducting. Getting the notes right will be the easy part, but singing this piece well will take time, effort, and prayer.

This predates Mary Did You Know. It was popular in the 70s. It's haunting as it tells of Christ's mission on earth and ponders whether Mary fully grasped what her son would face.

Did Mary Know
This was very popular in the 70s. It's a haunting piece not only from Mary's perspective, but it points to the astonishing mission of her son as the Savior of all mankind. Contemplative setting!
