This is William Hawley's arrangement of three traditional
German folk songs, composed for the Vocal Ensemble Singer
Pur (S T T T Bar. B) and premiered by them in 2004 in Marktoberdorf,
Germany. The present score has been re-voiced for
S M-S A T Bar.B. voices, and may be performed by an
ensemble of soloists or by mixed choir to equally good effect.
The audio clip contains the opening sections of the recordings
made by Singer Pur on the album Sos-Save Our Songs, on the
OEHMS Classics label:
