The additional texts in 'Hope and Time' include excerpts from two poems by the poet Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) and an original text by Richard Vella. The 'Humming Chorus' and 'Hope and time' weave in and out of the arrangement of 'Desire'. This interweaving of songs, at times, creates a dense polyphonic texture in which 'Desire', the 'Humming Chorus', and the added original song 'Hope and time' are heard simultaneously.
