Deliverance is an exciting concert suite by Etienne Crausaz. The first movement is in the style of a siciliana, starting out quiet and calmly, then slowly building in excitement and energy. The second movement, a scherzo, allows for colourful sounds and timbres and is full of humorous musicalelements and contrasts. The third movement, the vivace, presents a dialogue between the higher and lower registers of the band with plenty of time changes. Cette suite de concert en trois parties composee par Etienne Crausaz s'amorce par un mouvement ecrit dans le style d'une Sicilienne : un debut tout en douceur qui cede peu a peu sa place a un tutti d'une grande profondeur. Le scherzo, en deuxieme partie, est haut en couleurs et constelle de touches humoristiques. Dans le dernier mouvement, un vivace, se forge un brillant dialogue avec changements de tempi entre les instruments graves, medium et aigus. Deliverance est une composition exaltante, pleine de couleurs et de contrastes tout en restant musicalement accessible.
