This is an energetic piece for marimba duo with a compelling melody that uses a 12 tone row formed from the 7 notes of the C major scale followed by 5 notes of the Gb pentatonic scale. Based on these groups of 7 and 5 notes, the time signature primarily alternates between 7/8 and 5/8. The piece has been written so that it could be performed by two players sharing one marimba, though two marimbas would be ideal.
