The text for these two companion pieces first appeared in the January 1984 issue of Games magazine. It was used as an example in a contest called "Write On!" in which the object was to create an original paragraph that could be punctuated two ways to give very different meanings. You will agree that it certainly achieved that goal. These pieces also might provide an opportunity to do some cooperative teaching with English teachers on the importance of proper punctuation!

Fun, accessible women's choir piece
This is a great piece for an auditioned women's choir at the high school level. The same text is set twice each with different punctuation. The composer does a great job changing the style to match where the punctuation is located. My girls really like singing it.
