About the work:
Due to its upbeat and cheeky nature, ‘Das Esellied’ (‘The Donkey Song’), has been a firm favourite amongst Oktoberfest goers for as long as anyone can remember. The original story depicts a Donkey that wishes to return home as he waits outside for his female companion, Veronica.
This particular arrangement incorporates call and response vocals, a spot of yodelling, and a mischievously gradual increase in tempo. At its conclusion, audiences are sure to be left in high spirits and calling out for more!
