Composed by Philip Bliss. Arranged by Phil Beaman. This edition: pdf. Gospel, Sacred. 1 pages. Phil Beaman #1220154. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1653703).

This hymn was written by Philip Bliss (1873), a rural music teacher in Pennsylvania, who also wrote the hymn Wonderful Words of Life. Most of his hymns were considered Sunday School hymns, so the melody was accompanied mostly by drone notes that only changed with the chord changes. I have lightly arranged it with more movement in the lower and inner parts so that it will sound richer when sung in 4 part harmony. This is a great old gospel hymn about standing firm on your faith like Daniel!
4 verses, 1 page, 2:40 minutes
Audio - I play the hymn through once to better hear the harmonies, then sing all 4 verses solo.
