Danse des Sauvages' (Dans van Amerikaanse Indianen) komt uit de balletopera ' Les Indes Galantes (Liefdesverhalen uit de Indische Gewesten). Rameau was één van de belangrijkste Franse componisten (1683 – 1764). Hij schreef een omvangrijk oeuvre en zijn theoretische werken zijn de basis voor de functionele harmonieleer. Deze dans is erg populair geworden en verdiende daarom bewerkt te worden voor blaasorkest; hij krijgt beslist zijn plaats op het repertoire.

Danse des Sauvages' (Dance of the Savages) is an excerpt from the ballet opera 'Les Indes Galantes' (The Courtly Indies). Rameau was one of the most important French composers (1683 – 1764). He wrote many compositions and his theoretical writings are the fundamental basis of the theory of functional harmony. This dance has become very popular and had to be arranged for wind band. It will no doubt also become a favourite item of the wind band repertoire.

La 'Danse des Sauvages' est extraite de l’opéra-ballet 'Les Indes Galantes' du grand compositeur français Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683 – 1764) qui a laissé une œuvre imposante, ainsi que des ouvrages théoriques qui forment la base de la théorie de l’harmonie fonctionnelle. Cette danse très populaire méritait un arrangement pour orchestre à vents qui trouvera certainement sa place au répertoire.

Danse des Sauvages' (Tanz der Wilden) stammt aus der Ballettoper ' Les Indes Galantes'. Rameau war ein bedeutender französischer Komponist (1683–1764). Sein kompositorisches Schaffen ist sehr umfangreich und seine theoretischen Werke bildeten damals die Grundlage der funktionellen Harmonielehre. Der 'Danse des Sauvages' ist sehr beliebt geworden, daher bot es sich an, ihn für Blasorchester zu bearbeiten. Gewiss bekommt er einen Platz im Repertoire vieler Blasorchester.
