Barrie Gott was born in England in 1947 and emigrated to Australia in 1951. He studied music from childhood and later Trumpet and Conducting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and became a member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Barrie emigrated again, this time to California in the USA where he worked with eminent musician William Broughton. After moving back to Australia he took up a conducting position for the Queensland Pops Orchestra. Daniel.
