This Buddy Rich classic originally arranged by Paul Lavender has been newly upgraded by its composer John LaBarbera allowing this grade 3 chart to play more like the original recording. An optional soprano sax part replaces Alto 1 in keeping with the original. Needless to say, it is an ideal vehicle for drums with plenty of breaks and an open solo. Part of the Sherlock Series by La Barbera, ("Tiger Of San Pedro", "Watson's Walk", "Chase on the Moors", etc.)"Dancing Men" evokes a flavor of the Highlands combined with a powerful jazz/rock feel. Electric bass and keyboard should be first choice and don't hesitate to include an open bass solo before or with the open drum solo at 57. 5,4,4,G,P,B,D. Trumpet to G above the staff.
