Essential Tuba Repertoire
There are lots of recordings of this piece on the internet, and that is no coincidence. This is an excellent piece, written with true musicality and serving as a masterclass on how to get the most out of the tuba. It is challenging: it will test the players' tuning, dynamic awareness, ability to keep and change tempo and particularly ensemble, with the parts overlaying to create complex rhythms. This piece will offer intermediate-to-advanced musicians a hearty challenge and advanced musicians opportunities to show off their skills. Highly recommended to anyone up for the challenge!
