This joyful dance contains wonderful stylistic influences from the Xinjiang province of China. From syncopated accompaniment figures to soaring lyric melodies, this arrangement has it all. There is one key change in the middle from A minor to G minor and back. Beware of some chromatic twists, especially the augmented seconds in the 2nd theme. Violin 1 shifts to 3rd position and the cello part will sound much better if they have some shifting experience. Your orchestra will also use a variety of bow strokes, from long and legato to heavily accented.
