Published by Diego Marani (A0.1375155).In 1882, Tchaikovsky considered creating a concert suite out of numbers from his marvelous ballet Swan Lake, which he had composed six years previously. However, he seems not to have made a final decision, and the authorship of the concert suite published after his death as Op.20a is unknown.
In this arrangement for clarinet quartet (Bb Clarinet 1 or Eb Clarinet, Bb Clarinet 2, Bb Clarinet 3 or Eb Alto Clarinet, Bb Bass Clarinet) we have the very famous ninth number of the suite: Dance of the Swans (Dances des Cygnes). It is suitable for any occasion: repertorie, classroom, recital.
