Great song but challenging for intermediate player
My friend and I are in 8th grade and have been playing the flute since 6th grade. We have consistently been taking lessons since the beginning. We signed up for our school's Solo + Ensemble Festival which was held in November. We chose this song to play as our duet since it was a song we both liked and it was getting close to the holiday season. Apparently, we did not look at it close enough before purchasing, and it ended up being much harder than expected. With hard work and much patience, we played it for our performance. It could have been better but it was good for it being such a challenging song. It has plenty of accidentals, 16th note triplets, and 32nd notes. It will be hard for beginner to intermediate players. Our hard work did pay off and we got a perfect score but for any flute players in middle or even high school, make sure this is at your level before you make the commitment.

This is a great song but beware
I purchased this duet for a friend and me for our solo and ensemble festival. We are in 8th grade but we are in the most advanced group at our school and take private lessons. At the time we didn't realize that it has 32nd notes and purchased it. When we started playing we realized our mistake. With help of our flute teacher we figured it out and still have a month to practice but beware, this song is challenging. With practice, it is definitely doable. The first part has 16 note triplets and 2 groups of 32nd notes. The second part is harder with a lower range going all the way down to low C# and has a lot of accidentals and low E's. There are also around 13 groups of 4 32nd notes. It is a pretty song but comes with its challenges.
