Here is a pretty spring recital song for beginner piano students about the beautiful crocus flowers that come up even when there’s still snow out! It can be used for a range of levels, from students who need the notes labeled in a few spots to students who are able to start learning when to pedal on their own. The mixolydian mode adds a bit of extra mystique and allows the student to explore playing in a key with lots of sharps but not in the left hand. A tutorial video is available on Youtube.
