Although a magical train speeding across frozen ice with the all of the ice behind it cracking is quite an exciting scene already, Alan Silvestri's music makes it somehow even more exciting. Many of the themes and motifs from the rest of The Polar Express are all packed into one cue here, making it a thrilling piece to both play and listen to. In this advanced piano arrangement, much of the dense orchestral detail is present, including virtuosic scales that fly up the keyboard, thundering tremolos, grandiose chordal textures, and several other tricky techniques that may require a bit of practice!
