A very cool tune set to swing at a medium tempo, the chart has simple melody that Terry White develops as he scores the ensemble with a big fat sound. It has written solos provided for alto, trumpet, and trombone and then a sax soli harmonized from Coltrane's famousGiant Steps recording. But not to worry, it's not difficult, just tasty with big dynamic contrasts and swinging sound.
This great arrangement of this Coltrane blues chart has all the elements of a much more difficult chart.
