By OneRepublic. By Ryan Tedder. Arranged by B. Fleet. This edition: pdf, streaming. Contemporary, Pop, Rock. 39 pages. Barbara Fleet #1419413. Published by Barbara Fleet (A0.1859681).
This is an SATB arrangement of Counting Stars by One Republic in C sharp minor, the same key as the original. It works perfectly well without the Bass part. The Tenor part is quite high and would also suit Alto 2 singers, so this arrangement could easily be performed by a choir with only Altos and Sopranos.
This would best suit a well established pop choir with singers who like a bit of a challenge, as it whips along at considerable speed after the initial slow tempo and there are lots of words to fit in.
The middle section is practically acapella and has a syncopated rhythm which may take a bit of work.
The end of this arrangement features layering of the three main melodic themes, which does not appear not in the original song but nevertheless, works beautifully.
You can hear the full demo on the YouTube link shown on this page.
The PDF includes all four vocal parts and the piano part seperately at the end, so you can save money on printing costs.
