The 2nd movement "Céu de Oregon" of Paulo Tiné's Concerto for Guitar and Jazz Band is based on a harmonic sequence presented by Ralph Towner (the honoree) in his book "Improvisation and Performance Techniques for Classical and Acoustic Guitar" (1987). The piece was commissioned by Projeto Guri in 2018 and premiered by the Projeto Guri Youth Big Band, with guitarist Gilson Antunes as the soloist.
