Appropriate Intermediate Arrangement
This is a good collection of the major concertos arranged for an intermediate trumpet student (early high school level). As a nice touch, the trumpet part is in the laminated book while the simplified piano accompaniment is the pull-out. Exercises in the back of the book cover basic techniques used.The heart of the solo parts is intact with rhythmic simplifications where expedient (including time signature substitutions). Every piece is transposed down from concert Eb to concert Bb, so the printed trumpet part would work as an exercise book for Eb trumpet if the accompaniment is abandoned. I only gave 4 stars because no attempt was made to arrange the cadenzas for any movement.
