Since 1999, the Rotary Club of Tulsa (OK) has supported the Internationl Crescendo Music Awards Competition, awarding cash prizes to select deserving college and high school students through audition and performance criteria. In its 15 year history, these awards have grown mightily - in scope, in prizes awarded, and in reputation. As part of its celebration of 15 years of Crescendo Music Awards, the Rotary Club of Tulsa commissioned Adler for a violin concerto (his first), to be performed by 2010 competition winner Siwoo Kim and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
