Beginning with a brief trumpet fanfare and a 'choral invitation', this dynamic hymn setting opens with the children's choir singing stanza 1. A dialogue between the mixed choir and children's choir takes place in stanza 2. In the final third stanza the piece moves to a joyful climax utilizing an accessible descant soaring over the melody. A choral tag with both choirs and trumpet brings the piece to a festive close.
