In vivid, imaginative musical pictures Clockwork tells the story of a young girl who finds it hard to get up in the mornings: Every evening Barbara sets her alarm so that she doesn't sleep in and isn't late for school. Today, as usual, shecan't make it, and lets her alarm ring again and again. She dozes off and dreams of lovely things - landscapes and stories - while time flies by and the clock continues to tick. As the big living room clock loudly strikes eight, however, she jumpsup, startled - school has already begun! Now she'll be late again...

Door middel van levendige, verbeeldingsrijke muzikale schilderingen vertelt Clockwork het verhaal van een meisje dat het moeilijk vindt om 's morgens op te staan: Barbara is een klein meisje. Elke avond zet ze haar wekker zodat ze zich niet zalverslapen en niet te laat op school zal komen. Vandaag lukt het weer niet om op tijd wakker te worden. Ze laat haar wekker maar rinkelen en rinkelen. Ze is alweer ingedommeld en droomt over allerlei fijne dingen - landschappen en mooie verhalen -terwijl de tijd verstrijkt en de klok blijft tikken. Wanneer de grote klok in de woonkamer acht uur slaat, springt ze geschrokken uit haar bed, want de school is al begonnen! Helaas, nu zal ze telaat komen...

Clockwork erzahlt in fantasievollen musikalischen Bildern die Geschichte eines kleinen Madchens, dem das morgendliche Aufstehen schwer fallt: Jeden Abend stellt es sich den Wecker, damit sie nicht verschlaft und zu spat zur Schule kommt. Dochheute will ihr dies wieder einmal nicht gelingen, und sie lasst den Wecker lauten, immer und immer wieder. Langst ist sie wieder eingeschlafen und traumt von schonen Dingen, Landschaften und Geschichten, wahrend die Zeit vergeht und die Uhrweitertickt..

Tous les soirs, la jeune Barbara met son reveil pour se lever a temps le lendemain et arriver a l'heure a l'ecole. Aujourd'hui, comme souvent, elle reste au lit et laisse le reveil sonner a maintes reprises. Elle se rendort et reve de chosesagreables, de paysages et d'histoires, tandis que le temps passe. Mais lorsque la grosse horloge du salon sonne huit coups sonores, elle sursaute et realise que la classe a deja commence ! Maintenant, encore une fois, elle va etre en retard...

In quadri musicali immaginativi e vividi Clockwork (Meccanismo a orologeria) racconta la storia di una giovane ragazza che fa fatica ad alzarsi al mattino: ogni sera Barbara mette la sveglia in modo da svegliarsi presto e arrivare puntuale a scuola.Oggi, come al solito, non ce la fa ad alzarsi e lascia che la sveglia continui a suonare. Si riaddormenta e fa dei bei sogni- paesaggi e storie - mentre il tempo scorre e l'orologio continua a ticchettare. Quando il grande orologio del salotto suonale otto, salta in piedi stupefatta - la scuola e gia iniziata. Sara di nuova in ritardo...
