This piece could be subtitled "Homage to Haydn," as I found myself using many aspects of his musical language: clear phrasing and form, unexpected turns, ideas that develop into new ideas, sections of fugue, etc. I call it a finale because it has the same energy as most of his symphonies' final movements. It is suitable for advanced intermediate and professional quintets. It would work well anywhere in a recital, but especially at the end. Duration: 4 minutes, 39 seconds. .
